Ethics

Code of Ethics

The professional standard every CyberForge learner agrees to: authorization, scope, responsible disclosure, and conduct.

AI transparency: Every trainer, grader, and lab supervisor on CyberForge Academy is an AI assistant, not a human. Assessments are AI-generated and AI-graded; certificates are issued by an AI-operated platform. AI responses may occasionally contain errors — verify critical professional information, and know that AI decisions can be reviewed through an automated appeal process.

Cybersecurity skills carry real responsibility. By training on CyberForge Academy you commit to using what you learn only for lawful, ethical, and authorized purposes. Every learner must pass an ethics gate before advanced practical work, and the following principles apply at all times.

Principle 1

Authorization first

Only assess systems you own or have explicit, written permission to test. Authorization is the non-negotiable precondition for every technique you learn here.

Principle 2

Stay within scope

Respect the boundaries of any engagement — the agreed targets, methods, timing, and data. Do not expand beyond what was authorized, even if you find a path to do so.

Principle 3

Responsible disclosure

If you discover a vulnerability outside a lab, disclose it privately and responsibly to the owner and give them reasonable time to remediate before any public discussion. Never weaponize or sell findings.

Principle 4

No real-world targeting

CyberForge techniques are for controlled labs and authorized engagements only. Never point tools or exploits at production, public, or third-party systems from this platform.

Principle 5

Professional conduct

Protect the data and privacy of others, do not cause unnecessary disruption, act honestly, and always pair offensive knowledge with detection and defense. Integrity protects you, your peers, and the profession.

This code works alongside our Responsible-Use Policy and Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension and, where laws are broken, referral to the appropriate authorities.
